Monica and Omar’s Wedding | Berkley Plaza

As you might have noticed, our photographs from the last few weddings we've shot have been indoors due to bad weather conditions (heat, rain, locusts, frogs, ect.).

We were hoping that the bad weather would be over in time for Monica and Omar's wedding, but it was not to be. Regardless, Monica was unaffected by the rain, and was a pleasure to photograph. Her mother created a special bow for her to wear, it added a personal touch to an already beautiful dress.

The picture below is one of my favorites; to me it captured a very emotional moment. It was taken right before Monica and her father walked down the aisle.

Omar was very relaxed in front of the camera. He and his groomsmen were a lot of fun to work with.

I have to mention that their cake was amazing. It was huge! Just standing near it you could smell the tasty sweetness. We were lucky enough to get a slice, and wow... it tasted as good as it looked. Special thanks to Monica and Omar for taking such great care of us at the reception, we really appreciated it!

Nancy and Jeff | Venetian

Nancy and Jeffrey's ceremony and reception took place at the The Venetian in Garfield NJ on Father's Day. The facilities and grounds are breathtaking, and the staff is extremely helpful and attentive.

Later on during the reception, Nancy changed from her white wedding dress to a traditional red Chinese wedding cheongsam. We searched around on the internet to find the meaning behind the dress and found that red is for luck and that the "Dragon & Phoenix design symbolizes the balance of male and female power".

Jenifer and William

For Jenifer and William's wedding we were back at the Old Mill Inn. We split up and photographed them both getting ready at the same time.

Their ceremony took place in the courtyard. I love this picture, which was taken from the 2nd floor window.

The dance floor was packed most of the reception. At one point they broke out into an impromptu Grease musical.

Alisa and Jason

Finally, great weather! We were hoping the skies would cooperate for this wedding, considering plans were to have the ceremony on the beach.

The ceremony included the combining sand from California (that's where the groom is from) and New Jersey (the bride's originally from NJ) On a side note, the groom constructed the structure under which the ceremony took place.

The best part of the day for us was the opportunity to photograph the bridal party on the beach. They were great fun to work with, and I think the photographs we were able to get are awesome!

Jennifer and Vincent

Jennifer and Vincent had planned for a photo session on a Brooklyn pier with the Manhattan skyline behind them, but the weather had changed things a little. Fortunately the skies cleared up just long enough for us to get a few intimate shots of the couple pre-ceremony.

The wedding ceremony had taken place in Brooklyn, and for the reception we were back in New Jersey.

Jennifer and Vincent entered the party in a conga line and didn't stop dancing all night. Everyone looked like they were having a great time.

Denise and Troy

It was difficult to select the pictures for this blog post because Denise and Troy had so many great moments throughout their day.

They had originally planned an outdoor ceremony at the Park Savoy, but because of the rain it was moved inside. It turned out to be a very intimate ceremony with friends and family close by.

Their band "The Infernos" kept everyone on the dance floor all night by providing exciting live entertainment. On a side note, I had never seen such a great lighting setup from a band! They told us that it was custom designed just for them.

The band brought Denise and Troy up on stage to sing with them at one point during the night. Overall their reception was a lot of fun and it flew by fast.
