Trash The Dress!

We cant even begin to explain how excited we were when our former bride Jennifer called us and asked if we would do a trash the dress session! We had the pleasure of working with not one, but TWO bridal couples, Jennifer and Justin (who's wedding we photographed last November) and their friends Jamie and Joel (married last June). We spent an afternoon running around the Jersey shore taking goofy pictures and having a blast.
Since we were working with two brides we decided we needed a theme for the photo shoot. We came up with "Bride vs. Bride" in a series of competitions.

First up... The Race. Jamie won by a hair, despite Jennifer's effort to hold her back by her train.

Next round... Boxing. First rule of bride fight club.... no one talks about bride fight club.

We couldn't resist the opportunity to take a shot with this patriotic life guard when he rolled up.

Thank you Jamie, Joel, Jennifer and Justin for running all over with us and being such great sports!

Ryan and Elizabeth | Spring Lake Country Club

A few prep pictures taken at Elizabeth's home in Spring Lake...

Elvis sighting! The king made a special appearance courtesy of Liz.

The first thing we noticed, when we first arrived at Liz's house, was the the red telephone booth sitting on the front lawn. Liz's mother was originally from England and had the vintage booth shipped from her homeland.  Liz and Ryan requested a special picture with it.

The "event of the day" was planned 20 something years in advance. Liz and her father decided on her wedding day that instead of a limo, her father would row her to St. Catharine's Church, which is located directly across the lake

The church itself is breathtaking with painted murals everywhere you looked.

Liz's veil was hand made by her mother. It was definitely well used during the day.

This traditonal English wedding cake, (fruitcake inside) was also made by Liz's multi-talented mom.

Robyn and Aaron | Imperia

It's not too often that we have extra time to photograph with our couples, but it can really make a difference in the final result. Before the ceremony we had some down-time and were able  to take some really beautiful portraits of Robyn, she looks simply stunning in these.

The gazebo at the Imperia, where  the reception took place, made a fantastic backdrop for the bridal party, .

You can just see the love between Robyn and Aaron by the way they look at each other.

Maria and Lester Engagement Session

These images of Maria and Lester, both playful and romantic, really show the connection they have with each other. We're looking foward to photographing their wedding
