Julie & Matt | The Grounds for Sculpture

We've been looking forward to photographing Julie and Matt's wedding since their engagement session earlier this year - not only are they a wonderful spontaneous fun loving couple, but the venue they selected for their wedding, the Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton, NJ is a fantastic location that provides incredible backdrops. We couldn't help photograph a few of the unique sculptures scattered among the grounds; everywhere we looked there was inspiration.

We had the opportunity get to know Julie and Matt on a personal level throughout the day, the stories that they shared with their friends and family were touching.

Everyone loved the story of Matt's marriage proposal to Julie, explained at the ceremony by the officiant Dorry Bless of Circle of Life ceremonies. Matt had cut out a "cave" in the vintage children's novel "The Diamond Cave Mystery" to place Julie's engagement ring into. He then installed a personalized page for Julie, and packed it up into an amazon box for Julie to later open. As you can see below, the book was incorporated into the marriage ceremony.

The nine muses installment at the Grounds for Sculpture is a beautiful location and that is where the couple exchanged vows in front of their friends and family.

Peacocks roam the grounds of the Sculpture Garden; we found one strolling along the parking lot!

DJ Chris Atwood of Absolute Events rocked the party all night!
